Is Trinity an accredited school?
Yes. Trinity is accredited by the State of Iowa and the National Lutheran School Accreditation system.

Do you have to be Lutheran to attend Trinity?

No. The goal of our school is to provide a strong academic program with Christ at the center of all our teachings. Our school's religion classes, chapel services, and theological teachings are Missouri Synod Lutheran based. We welcome any student who is interested in receiving a Christ centered, high-quality education.

Are school uniforms required?

Yes, they are. The dress code of Trinity Lutheran School strives to reflect Christian modesty and neatness while avoiding clothing trends and fads. It is expected that parents/guardians will send their students to school dressed in compliance with the approved dress code. Final interpretation of the dress code is reserved to the administration. Details are on the policy page.
Do you have before- and after-school care?

Yes, we do. We offer care through our Extended Care program at these times:
  • Before School: 6:30 AM to 8:15 AM
  • After School: 3:15 PM to 6:00 PM
  • Half Days: 12:30 PM to 6:00 PM

See our Extended Care page for rates and more details.

We also have daycare available for preschool students during the regular school day.

Do you offer a hot lunch program?
Yes. Our school has a hot lunch program at a cost of $52 for a 20 meal ticket.  We participate in the federal free and reduced price lunch program.

I need to apply for a scholarship. What do I need to do?

Scholarships are awarded in early summer for the following school year, based on need. Scholarship applications are accepted from February 1 to April 15. Scholarships are available through two sources:
These scholarships require separate applications. The application for Trinity's scholarships is on the Forms page. Applications are kept completely confidential; only the 3-person scholarship committee sees them.
