Letter of Resignation

posted Mar 16, 2018, 11:36 AM by Trinity Lutheran

Dear Trinity Lutheran Church and School families,

I am truly thankful for each and every one of you, and it is with mixed emotions that I share with you my resignation upon the completion of this school year. I have accepted a teaching position in the small community of Daykin, Nebraska, where I will be teaching elementary general music and living near my family.

I have been immensely blessed during my time in ministry with you and could not have imagined sharing my first Call with any other congregation and school. Thank you for your support and encouragement throughout these last 12 years. My growth as a young adult and teacher has flourished with the guidance of my fellow servants at Trinity. You will be deeply missed and will always hold a special place in my heart.

Your Sister in Christ,

Leslie Drees

TLS Operetta

posted Mar 15, 2018, 8:56 AM by Trinity Lutheran

The TLS Grades 4-8 Spring Operetta, The Old Testament Fast Forward – With Davy Crocket?!, will be performed in the school gym on Thursday, April 26, with shows at 1:30 pm and 6:30 pm. As always, we promise an entertaining production with a meaningful Christian message. Students in grades 4-7 serve as the Chorus for the operetta and need to obtain a “costume” that includes a clean, solid-color t-shirt in the color indicated below, khaki shorts, and tennis shoes. At this time of year, t-shirts can be purchased very inexpensively at Wal-Mart if needed. No pastel or neon colors, please. The colors represent those in the rainbow.

Grade 4: Students with class number 1-14: Red t-shirt (true red)

Grade 4: Students with class number 15-28: Orange t-shirt

Grade 5: Yellow t-shirt

Grade 6: Students with class number 1-10: Green t-shirt (kelly or forest green)

Grade 6: Students with class number 11-20: Blue t-shirt (royal or navy blue)

Grade 7: Purple t-shirt (lavender is OK in this case if dark purple cannot be found)

Costume gear must be marked with names or initials and brought to school on Monday, April 23 (dress rehearsal week)

If you have any questions, please contact Susan Benya via school email (

Our Childcare staff has a great plan to improve our playground area for the younger students at Trinity.  To help make this happen we are raising funds  to purchase equipment and a safe fall area. More information can be found on our website.  We have already raised a little over $4,000.00!  Help us reach our goal of $9,000.00 so the improvements can be made during our summer break and ready for students to enjoy during the 2018-2019 school year.
