Scholarship Information

Don't lose out on ILSTO and Trinity Scholarships!

About the two scholarship sources...

The ILSTO (Iowa Lutheran Student Tuition Organization) is a major source of scholarship funding for our Trinity families.

  • The ILSTO application is a simple one-page application that can save you thousands of dollars.
  • ILSTO applications must be postmarked by Friday, April 28.
  • You must submit the first page of your 2016 1040 or 1040A with the application, or provide a written explanation of why you don't file taxes.
  • Applications should be mailed directly to the ILSTO.
  • All Discover Trinity families are required to submit an application.

Trinity Scholarships are available to fill in the gaps. That application is also dueFriday, accompanied by page 1 and 2 of your 2016 1040 or 1040A. You can drop it off at the school office, or put it in the mail by Friday

Families will be notified about ILSTO and Trinity Scholarship awards in May.

Application forms for ILSTO and Trinity Scholarships can be picked up at the school office, or downloaded from Trinity's website. PLEASE contact Pat Powell(319-775-0229) if you need help or have questions. We want to make this as easy as possible.

TLS offers Alternative Kindergarten!

posted Apr 25, 2017, 9:20 AM by Trinity Lutheran

There is some confusion in our community about the "qualifications" for Alternative Kindergarten (AK).  We want our families to KNOW about our AK program and the details.  The student needs to be 5 years old OR turning 5 by December 15 during their AK year.  The student's parent(s) can choose to send their child to AK followed by Kindergarten the next year.  The AK year is a great opportunity to provide more time for academics, maturity, and readiness to be in school all day.  Share the word!  TLS is a great AK program and we still have spaces available for the 2017-2018 school year.

SHHH! It's Still a Secret!

posted Apr 25, 2017, 9:14 AM by Trinity Lutheran

There is still time to donate to Mrs. Becker's retirement gift.  The "secret" gift idea will be shared with those that stop in the school office, hopefully to make a donation.  We don't want to ruin the surprise for Mrs. Becker so...SHHHH!  Cash/check donations will be collected in the school office Monday-Friday of next week.  Thank you!

A "don't miss" Theatrical Event at TLS!

posted Apr 24, 2017, 10:57 AM by Trinity Lutheran

Thursday, April 27 at 1:30 pm & 6:30 pm the 4th-8th grade students will dazzle you with their acting, singing, and overall cuteness!
This year's Operetta production is: "The Life of the Party:  The Story of Mary and Martha".
No need to pre-purchase tickets, just plan to attend one or both of the performances.  A free will offering will be collected to continue the tradition of offering fine arts at TLS.

IMPORTANT REMINDER! Operetta Costumes needed by TOMORROW!

posted Apr 24, 2017, 10:47 AM by Trinity Lutheran

All students in grades 4-8 must bring their operetta costumes to school ASAP, please! We are in dress rehearsal, and several students are still without costumes. If you need a reminder as to what your student needs, click on:

and look under "Operetta".   However, students should be very familiar with the costume requirements.

Thank you… It will be a great show!
