Our first Three Week Progress Reports will be sent home today with students in third through eighth grade. The purpose of the Progress Reports is to communicate with parents and guardians how their student is doing academically.
The academic success of our students is very important to us at Trinity, and we want the kids we have in our classrooms to do well. As our teachers prepare their lessons for the upcoming week, they strongly consider how to most effectively teach the subject matter that will be covered.
Parents play such a critical role in their child’s education. The best thing we can do for our kids is show a genuine and consistent interest in them and how they are doing. This happens when we make them a priority and give them a ton of our time. Students who know they are cared about tend to be much more motivated to do well in all aspects of their lives.
Ultimately, students control their own effort; they decide how hard they are going to work. If they see us, their teachers, parents, and guardians giving our best in everything we do, the likelihood is great that they too will be inclined to give their best.
And fortunately for all of us, God gave us His best when he sent His Son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. It didn’t stop there; God completed things for us when Jesus rose from the dead!
