Typically in our physical education classes we have a conditioning period and an activity period. On Thursday, September 15, we are going to combine our conditioning and activity periods in a cross country meet at Camp Io-Dis-E-Ca! The purpose of this event is to promote physical fitness in a fun and different way.
All students in our fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade gym classes will be placed on a team. Every student’s score (the place they take in the meet) will count towards their team’s total. In cross country one doesn’t have to be the best runner on the course to help his team; every individual’s effort counts.
Running is a big part of the conditioning we do. We have been running in gym classes since the school year began, so the kids are ready for this!

We will be leaving school at approximately 8:30 AM. We will return to Trinity by noon. Students will eat lunch at school during their regularly scheduled lunch period.
The shelter on the family camp grounds of Camp Io-Dis-Ca will serve as the site of our meet headquarters.
